Thousands of migrants and refugees camp on UN’s doorstep
Up to 3,000 migrants and refugees have spent the past month camped out on the streets of Libya’s capital, Tripoli, outside a community centre run by the United Nations.
Many are desperate for help, after fleeing overcrowded detention centres.
Migration lawyers have expressed concerns about an admission from the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) that it is under-resourced to deal with its backlog of tens of thousands of migration and refugee cases.
