Taliban’s execution of Khorasani, a strong signal to Qatar

Former ISIS-K leader Abu Omar Khorasani, a top fighter of the Daesh sliver cell in Afghanistan behind the Kabul airport attack was announced killed by the Taliban.

He was assumed to be set free by Taliban by Qatari as the latter was playing as mediator between the Taliban and the ISIS-K.

However, Taliban acted otherwise and it seems that the killing of Khorasani is its warning to Qatar that it will not work with ISIS terrorists who have sought to establish a new haven in Afghanistan.

Obviously, Doha failed to mediate between the Taliban and Isis Khorasan, despite the Al-Thani royal family was conducting negotiations between the two sides for weeks.
